New Website for Local Plumbing Business
Why We Built It
-
The business relied on word of mouth and needed a site to generate new leads online.
-
Customer offers a range of distinct services so we wanted to show the scope in a credbile space.
-
We wanted to best present our strong portfolio in line with additional information to help customers make informed, trustworthy choices.

Local Reputation
Hill Plumbing & Bathrooms came to us with a strong reputation built purely on word of mouth. The challenge was clear: how do you translate that into steady online enquiries without losing the local, personal touch?
Trust and credibility were key.
Structural Decison
Designed to feel clear and focused at first glance, with additional depth available exactly where it’s needed.
This project demonstrates how a well-planned one-page website can balance clarity with depth.
For some other great examples of a one-page website structure you might like to check out The Inbox Whisperer.
One-page foundation
The homepage carries the core message clearly and confidently without forcing early navigation decisions.
Hidden service pages accessed via homepage doorways
Users can move into more specific service detail only when they’re ready, through clear entry points rather than crowded menus.
Keeps navigation simple
Primary navigation links scroll to key anchored sections on the same page, creating familiarity without sending users elsewhere.
Reduces friction
Users stay within a single narrative flow instead of moving between disconnected pages.
Allows depth without clutter
Detailed content exists where needed, but never disrupts the clarity of the main experience.
Branding & Visual Direction

Core palette retained
The client already had a strong logo, so we retained black and soft cream as the core palette, then extended it with subtle action colours to guide attention and highlight key calls to action.

Extended action colours
Stronger accent tones were introduced selectively to direct attention without overpowering the overall aesthetic.

Real photography, thoughtfully supplemented
We used genuine customer project images to maintain authenticity, then sensitively introduced AI-generated visuals to fill gaps and better represent the full scope of services.
Ambience and cohesion
Supplementary visuals were created in line with the established colour palette to maintain a consistent and credible feel.
Subtle movement
Short, lightweight video clips were used to add energy and depth without distracting from the core message.

The Winning Features
-
Before & After showcase - customers can see transformations at a glance.
-
Quote requests made simple - clear CTAs encourage fast lead generation.
-
Local-first approach - built with Scunthorpe homeowners in mind.

Quality throughout
It was essential that the visual presentation reflected both the quality of workmanship and the full range of services offered.

Digital Review Card
Developed as part of the Local Trinity Initiative - a convenient digital card to send to every customer after completing the work. This sends customer very easily to leave a review on the Google Business Profile.
Our Customer Feedback...
I'd been putting off getting a proper website for ages - didn't know where to start and thought it'd be complicated. Susi made it dead simple. She understood exactly what I needed as a local tradesman and built something that actually brings in work. The booking system alone has saved me hours of back-and-forth calls. Plus she knows the area, so when she talked about targeting local customers, she actually knew what she meant.
