Reaching for Position Zero - An AI Search Adventure

The podcast where we tackle AI search one question at a time. Come with us - we are figuring this out as we go.

What is this podcast about?

Search has changed. AI tools like ChatGPT and Google are no longer just listing websites - they are selecting answers. Picking winners. And the businesses that get selected are the ones customers actually find, trust, and choose.

Every episode we take one real question and work through it properly.  With your host Susi, her occasional sidekick Kev, and a guest or two along the way.

Susi Hogan and Kev alongside a female AI figure holding a Position Zero rosette against a watercolour background - the hosting team behind the Reaching for Position Zero AI search podcast from Kingstown Web Studio.

A large, ornate rosette in deep navy blue with gold edging, the word ZERO embossed in gold at its centre. It sits against a dark, dramatic background with hints of light catching the ribbon folds. The Position Zero rosette - the symbol of the most powerful place a small business website can reach in AI search. The prize we are all reaching for.

The Making Of....

Every podcast needs a origin story.

Ours involves a cloned voice, a Yorkshire sidekick who asks exactly the right questions, and a producer running on optimism and ElevenLabs.

We wanted to capture the moment Episode 1 came to life. So we did.

Three figures close together, smiling at the camera. On the left, a woman with curly auburn hair in a dark cardigan. In the centre, an AI robot with white porcelain plating, gold and black circuitry, and striking blue eyes. On the right, a smiling man with short brown hair in a denim shirt giving a thumbs up. A vibrant blue and orange watercolour background fills the frame. The dream team behind Reaching for Position Zero - Susi, her AI clone, and Yorkshire sidekick Kev.

The dream team. A podcast about AI, with an AI team, created by AI. Yes. Yes it is.

A smiling man with short brown hair and light stubble, wearing a denim shirt, sits at a podcast studio desk carefully stacking a tall pile of biscuits on a plate. Two takeaway coffee cups and a pair of headphones sit nearby. A professional microphone and mixing desk are visible to his right. The background is a vivid blue and orange watercolour splash. Kev arrives first. Gets the coffees in. Stacks the biscuits. Priorities firmly in order.

Kev arrives first. Gets the coffees in. Stacks the biscuits.

Checks his script. Doesn't question any of this.

Kev never does.

Two identical women with curly auburn hair and dark navy blazers appear in the same podcast studio. One sits at the desk, head in her hand, eyes closed, visibly exhausted. The other stands at the microphone holding a script, mid-delivery, gesturing expressively. Biscuits, coffee cups and a mixing desk are visible on the table. Cloned-Susi had thoughts about the script. Quite a lot of thoughts. Actual-Susi was already tired. They hadn't even started yet.

Cloned-Susi reads the brief. Has thoughts. Quite a lot of thoughts actually.

Actual-Susi is already tired. We haven't even started yet.

Three figures sit at a podcast studio desk beneath a glowing red neon LIVE sign. On the left, a woman with curly auburn hair leans toward her microphone. On the right, a smiling man in a denim shirt gestures animatedly. Between them, an AI figure with white porcelain plating observes calmly. Biscuits, coffee cups and a mixing desk complete the scene. Countdown. Deep breath. Nobody panic. Kev was already fine. Kev is always fine.

We are live

Countdown. Deep breath. Nobody panic. Kev is already fine. Kev is always fine.

Three figures sit around a warm wooden table raising champagne flutes in a toast. On the left, a woman with curly auburn hair in a dark cardigan smiles warmly. In the centre, an AI figure with white porcelain plating holds a champagne flute with quiet precision. On the right, a smiling man in a denim shirt completes the toast. A champagne bottle in an ice bucket, a glowing candle and a small chalkboard sign reading "Cheers to Humans and Robots x" sit on the table. Episode 1 is out in the world. The team celebrated accordingly. Even the clone.

And that's a wrap. Episode 1 is out in the world. Cheers to humans and robots everywhere.

She holds a navy and gold rosette with the word ZERO in gold at its centre, raised toward the viewer. The background is a vivid watercolour wash of deep blue and burnt orange.
