Book a Discovery Call

Thank you for the trust, and for commissioning Kingstown Web Studio for this important project. I’m looking forward to working with you and creating something great for your business.

The Discovery Call is the first proper working session of your website project. It helps organise the work ahead, confirm direction, and agree how we’ll proceed before any design or build begins.

What happens on a Discovery Call, and how does it help me choose the right website?

What is the Discovery Call For?

To organise the project, confirm direction, and agree next steps before work begins.

This call is where we step back and look at your business properly before shaping the website. We’ll talk through your goals, your preferences, and anything you’d like to clarify or sense-check so the project moves forward in a considered way.

Why does the Discovery Call Matter?

It ensures the website is planned deliberately, not by assumption.

By taking time to talk things through at the start, we can prioritise what matters, avoid unnecessary work, and create a clear foundation for structure, content, and visibility in modern search.

What will we cover on the call?

We’ll cover your business, your goals, your preferences, and how the website should take shape.

That typically includes:

  • Your business – what you do, who you serve, and how customers currently find you

  • Your goals – what you want the website to achieve

  • Your preferences – style, tone, structure, and any non-negotiables

  • Website direction – the type of build that fits your needs

  • Pages & content – what’s needed, what isn’t, and how things should flow

  • Branding – what you already have and whether any refinement would help

  • Search considerations – relevant AEO/SEO foundations

  • Next steps – how we’ll proceed after the call

Do I need to prepare anything before the call?

No formal preparation is needed.

If it helps you organise your thoughts, you may want to reflect on a few points beforehand:

  • what you want your website to do for your business

  • any existing website links (if relevant)

  • anything you feel hasn’t worked well in the past

  • examples or styles you’re drawn to (only if you have them)

  • any questions you’d like to talk through

This is optional and purely for your own clarity.

Can't make it?

Please just let us know conveniently (ideally not the same day). Thanks for your consideration.

Quick Read: TL;DR

What is TL;DR?

It means “Too Long; Didn’t Read” - a quick summary for fast scanning and voice assistants like Alexa or Siri that surface the short version first.

The Discovery Call This is the first working session of your website project. It’s a focused conversation that helps organise the work ahead, confirm direction, and agree how the project will proceed before any design or build begins.
During the call, we’ll step back and look at your business properly, talk through your goals and preferences, and shape the structure and priorities for your website. The outcome is a clear, agreed direction and a practical set of next steps.

Page FAQs

How long is the Discovery Call? Usually 20–30 minutes. Enough time to clarify direction and next steps without rushing.
Is it a sales call? No. It’s a working session focused on clarity, planning, and confirming the right approach before the project begins.
Do I need to prepare anything? No formal preparation is required. Some clients find it helpful to think about their goals or gather links in advance, but this is optional.
What if I already know which package I want? That’s fine. The call simply confirms it’s the right fit and aligns expectations before work starts.
Do you review my current website before the call? Yes. If you share your website link when booking or beforehand, I’ll review it in advance of the call.
What happens after the call? You’ll receive a short summary outlining recommendations and the agreed next steps for your project.
Can I skip the Discovery Call? In some cases, yes – particularly if we’ve worked together before or the scope is already clear. For most new projects, the call is recommended.

Kingstown Web Studio is now live and being carefully refined as part of a strategic soft launch. Over the coming weeks I’ll be adding fresh content, examples, and practical insights while reviewing how the site is positioned in Google and making small, considered improvements.
